Miles without Stiles route around Brockhole

Description:

A short route (1.5km) around the beautiful grounds of Brockhole on the shores of Windermere. This is part of a series of 39 routes, suitable for people with limited mobility, throughout the Lake District.

The centre provides public access to Windermere’s stunning eastern foreshore, with views to the Langdale Fells. There are historic gardens, exhibitions, an adventure playground, café and shop.

Accessible parking: There are parking spaces for disabled badge holders next to the Visitor Centre. Visitors can also arrange a lift in the ‘Brockmobile’ buggy from the main car park.

Accessible WC: One toilet block by the main car park, toilets inside the information centre, one toilet block in the grounds.

Building access: Café has a platform lift. Lift to first floor.
