Location:

National Park Centre Once Brewed, Once Brewed, NE47 7AN

Description:

This National Park Centre is located in the middle of Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site, and is an ideal place for exploring the southern end of the national park. Friendly, knowledgeable staff provide a wealth of information and can help with accommodation booking. Facilities include light refreshments, video display, clothing, maps, gifts for sale as well as toilets, car parking and a scenic picnic area.

Bus tour:

The Hadrian’s Wall bus, the AD122, can also be caught from here too, enabling you to take a tour of the main locations along the Wall.

Some locations are accessible, including the impressive crags of Stell Rigg above Once Brewed - a new accessible path has recently opened so wheelchair users can get right up to the Wall from the car park. Walltown recreation site and the Carvoran Roman Army Museum nearby are also largely accessible. Hop on and off the bus as you please - the fine views make the journey a pleasure.

All AD122 buses are low floor easy access. Disabled pass holders can travel for free all day. Well behaved dogs are allowed at no extra charge.
