Walk, drive or sail at Loch Katrine

Trossachs Pier, Loch Katrine, FK17 8HZ

Trossachs Pier by Loch Katrine, in the heart of the Trossachs, is the starting point for several activities in a scenic setting, surrounded by natural woodlands and mountains. The roadway along the northern shore of Loch Katrine is mainly flat and accessible by wheelchairs; hire a golf buggy (one is even solar-powered) at the Pier to take you even further; or take a cruise on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott, which is wheelchair accessible and provides live commentary.

Loch Katrine was the setting for Sir Walter Scott’s epic poem, Lady of the Lake, published 200 years ago. It was a best seller and sparked the passion for visiting the Trossachs and Scotland.
